Rogers Was a Sniper

Kennedy Butt of a Joke

In the 1960s, John F. Kennedy, former U.S. president, made a trip to Germany to liaise with the German people. During a speech, he made a blunder telling the crowd “Ich bin ein Berliner,” which translates to, “I am a Berliner.” What Kennedy unknowingly meant was that he is a Berliner, a German pastry. Rumors held he was laughed off the stage by the amused crowd.

In actuality, this never happened, and the German crowd understood he was attempting to speak in a language he wasn’t familiar with.

This urban legend says that Walt Disney’s dead body is cryogenically frozen in hopes that his body will be reanimated by future technology. This contradicts the magazines and media records that his body was cremated in 1966.

If Walt Disney ever comes back to life, we will surely know if this urban legend is true or not.

This legend goes as far back as the 1930s, and suggests that alligators brought into New York City from Florida escaped into the sewers. As completely untrue as this legend is, it is still being told today, with people even claiming to have seen them.

The Jedi Religion

This false conception holds that the federal government will recognize the Jedi religion as the official religion if people check Jedi as their religion on their census forms. Many did, but its promise never became a reality.
