Celebrities Who Have Crushes on Other Celebrities

Most of us erroneously assume that the life of a celebrity is all glitz and glamour. While there are certainly so many things to envy about the luxurious lives of most celebrities, there are challenges they face that are not enviable. Imagine having a crush on someone else and not being able to express how you feel for a long time. Most celebrities have been in such dilemmas. Are you ready for some gossip? Here are some celebrities who have crushes on other celebrities.

Jennifer Lawrence and Larry David

From what we know, it seems Jennifer Lawrence’s list of celebrity crushes is quite long. Her feelings for Larry David, the creator of “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” run deep. Way back in 2014, she admitted that she has been in love with David and has even slipped him her number.

Josh Hutcherson and Emma Watson

Josh Hutcherson is another celebrity that has longed for the heart of another before speaking out. He even confessed that he had even lobbied his management to set up a meeting with Emma Watson, but a long time later, they still haven’t met. He is still hopeful.

Adam Rippon and Shawn Mendes

Adam Rippon once confessed to Ellen Degeneres that he was sleeping with Shawn Mendes. He was clearly surprised at her own confession and quickly excused himself by saying love is a funny thing. They did meet afterward, and Mendes felt they had some kind of connection.

Ariana Grande and Jim Carey

Ariana Grande may be everyone’s sweetheart, but she once had her eyes only on Jim Carey. She once described the comedian as her childhood and lifelong crush. She also confessed to crying the first time she met him.

Drake and Nicki Minaj

Drake has a thing for public declarations of love, and it is not surprising that he spoke boldly about his feeling for Nicki. We understand that it took a lot of self-control for Drizzy to keep things at the platonic level when they were both under the Young Money record label.

Selena Gomez and Chris Evans

Like Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez is one of those celebrities we all love so dearly. She is also the type that doesn’t hold back her feelings. She confessed her love for Chris Evans years ago, describing him as very cute.

Children’s Movies From the 90s We All Love

For some of us that grew up in the 90s, there are some movies we can’t just stop loving. While they were made for children, most of these movies captured the attention and interest of adults and were wholesome with for the entire family. Just like some of our favorite books, these films are still available in different formats. We can certainly go back to them from time to time. Can you remember some of these movies? Here are some we will never forget.

Addams Family

Did you ever wonder how cool it will be to have a father who is an amazing sword fighter and a mother who wouldn’t mind you playing with your food? That was the privilege of the kids in the Addams family.

Aladdin

Many of us wished we had a pet monkey and could meet a genie who will grant three wishes. This was all because of the Disney classic, Aladdin. The story has received live-action adaptations, but we would choose the original at any time.

Beethoven

What happens when a little puppy grows into a slobbering dog? Some members of the family will not love it so much, but no one will stay behind when the lovely pet is in trouble.

Home Alone

Who didn’t love Kevin McCallister in the 90s? Played by a young Macaulay Culkin, the bratty kid was always too clever for the two dangerous bandits even when he is left home alone by accident.

Hook

This was an interesting children’s movie from the 90 that features an aging Peter Pan. It was obvious that our hero has forgotten Neverland until Captain Hook kidnaps a group of kids and must rescue them.

Matilda

First a book and then an interesting movie of the same title, Matilda was awesome in the 90s too. Most of us were truly in love with the titular character who had it all – ingenuity and power. It was always refreshing to see the bond between our heroine and her school teacher, Ms. Honey.

The Lion King

This list would not be complete without The Lion King. This is one of the biggest Disney films of all time, which is why (we think) Beyoncé had to accept a lead role in the live-action version. We still prefer the original, however, and will not blink at the opportunity to see it over and over again.

There are so many other children movies from the 90s we love. These are just the ones that we have space to mention.

5 Movies with Alcohol at the Heart of the Plot

Movies are excellent entertainment. They are also art. Sometimes they tell human stories that touch on serious life issues and challenges we humans face.

Alcoholism is a problem that many people may be familiar with. Whether they have dealt with the issue, or someone they know has struggled to put down the bottle, several moves have explored the topic.

Are you looking for movies with alcohol at the heart of the plot? Here are some that you may want to check out. If you are looking for more great films, don’t pass over our article about great films by genre!

A Star Is Born (2018)

This is a Bradley Cooper remake of a story that is a remake of three other movies. It is an exciting story of a fading rock star who is also an alcoholic. The main character Jack, played by Bradly Cooper, is a depressed star who falls in love with a rising pop singer, played by Lady Gaga, who he helped bring to the limelight. There is no happy ending here as his drinking problem worsens. The movie received 8 Oscar nominations and won 1.

Flight (2012)

This is an excellent movie that follows the story of Captain Whip Whitaker, played by Denzel Washington, an alcoholic airline pilot who manages to land an ill-fated flight and saves several lives. Things don’t turn out rosy as he becomes embroiled in a serious investigation. He also fails to address his drinking problem, even when the investigation threatens his freedom and pilot license.

The Lost Weekend (1945)

This is the oldest movie on this list but deserves its place here. It is a Billy Wilder’s classic that follows the life of an alcoholic New York writer played by Ray Milland. In its day, the movie was highly acclaimed and won 4 Academy Awards.

Trainwreck (2015)

In most movies about alcohol, the abuser is often male. Trainwreck challenges this with the story of a female writer for a men’s magazine. The story follows Amy Townsend (Amy Schumer), who lives for two things: alcohol and men. A typical party girl, things change a little for Amy when she meets a sports doctor named Aaron (Bill Hader). Despite her fortunes in life, the alcohol leads her down many wrong roads.

Leaving Las Vegas (1995)

This movie tells the story of Ben (Nicolas Cage), who, after being fired from his job, decided that the best thing to do is to move to Las Vegas and drink himself to death. He eventually falls in love with a prostitute, but ultimately can’t keep it together. It ends in tragedy too.

There you have it! Any fan of film should consider watching one of these movies. Not only do they star amazing actors and actresses, but they are also good movies.

If you are a drinker, then you may find something to relate to, especially with how alcohol can disrupt your life. If you are a casual drinker and want to enjoy a glass of wine with your movie, then looking into the use of supplements to help you feel normal again the next morning may not be such a bad thing. Nutri-West, Natures Secret, and Barlean’s Organic Oils are supplement brands that may be ideal for cases where you need to be up and ready to go the next morning.

These Female Directors Were Snubbed By the Oscars

Working behind the cameras to get the best movies done is often a daunting task. Historically, men have dominated that aspect of filmmaking and it is heartwarming that more women are being allowed to take up the challenge. Still, it is sad, however, that major award organizers like the Oscars continue to ignore the efforts of women working behind the scenes.

Several female directors were ignored again for the award this year. Here are some really impressive female directors who were snubbed by the Oscars but we feel they deserve recognition for the acclaimed movies they directed during the period under review:

Greta Gerwig (Little Women)

Greta Gerwig had her solo directorial debut in ‘Lady Bird’, a 2017 coming-of-age film. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. Gerwig was also nominated for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. She came back last year with another wonderful movie, ‘Little Women,’ and it is a shame that she was ignored in the Best Director category for this acclaimed movie. She is nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, however.

Marielle Heller (A beautiful Day in the Neighborhood)

Heller came into the scene in 2015 when she wrote and directed ‘The Diary of a Teenage Girl.’ She has been involved in several other successful projects, including ‘A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.’ The film, which chronicles an interview Tom Junod conducted with child entertainer Fred Rodgers, is an acclaimed project, yet the Oscars ignored the directorial excellence of Heller.

Lulu Wang (The Farewell)

Lulu Wang directed her first feature film, ‘Posthumous’ in 2014 and it was a successful project. In 2016, she wrote and narrated a story for This American Life, which is the same story that inspired her widely acclaimed movie, ‘Farewell,’ a movie that holds 99% critics consensus rating on Rotten Tomatoes, so it is a shame the director is not considered for an Oscar.

Lorene Scafaria (Hustlers)

Lorene Scafaria has done a lot of scriptwriting in the past. In addition to being the director of ‘Hustlers,’ she wrote the crime comedy film based on a New York Magazine article from 2015. For such a critically acclaimed and commercially successful film, we feel Scafaria deserves an Oscar Nomination, at least.

There you have it! Above are some of the female directors that were snubbed by Oscars. For their roles in the big projects above, these female directors deserve some recognition. Illuminated Movie: What We Know About the Illuminati

Illuminated is a 2019 movie that bares the details of one of the most controversial and secret groups in human history, the Illuminati. It is an expose told by Johnny Royal. During the run of the movie, there was some information passed along that we will discuss here.

The movie guides the audience into the secrets of the famed covert society of the Illuminati. The story purports to reveal the true origins of the group. This is done through the examination of ancient hand-written documents. Here are some of the things we should know about the Illuminati in Hollywood.

Many of the Members Were Christians

One would have expected the bulk of the Illuminati to be comprised of atheists, but that is not so. In the Illuminated movie, it was shown that members were required to be Christians.

“Well, one of them was that they required that the majority of their members be Christians and when I started digging in through their documents – I was lucky enough to be in Bavaria looking at original handwritten documents by [Adam] Weishaupt and [Adolph] Knigge, and their scribes. They required their members – most of them – to be Christians. I was expecting to find some nefarious activity or some magical goats or something like that – also, the aspect that they successfully did infiltrate Freemasonry. And, they did that because they needed their money, and they needed a membership base.” John told Film Inquiry.

Illuminati Started as a Secret Book Club

The Illuminati was once a secret book club where bright minds converged together to deliberate on enlightening philosophical topics. Weishaupt, regarded as the father of Illuminati, taught it. They had a private library that contained over 4,200 volumes of books.

“What the Illuminati started as is different than what it ended up as. So it started basically like a secret book club taught by Weishaupt, and the reason why is that during this time in Bavaria the Catholic Church held a very strict ban on Enlightenment Era thinking”

There you have it! The above is a brief look into the movie “Illuminated,” and what it says about the secret group, Illuminati. In case you will like to know more, watch the movie to find out more.

What Is Going On Between Kylie Jenner and Drake?

When it comes to romance in Hollywood, there is no shortage of gossip and surprises. A few months ago, there was word of something between Prince Harry and Elaine Thompson. Recent rumors suggest that there has been something going on between the two popular celebrities, Kylie Jenner and Drake.

The Drake and Kyle rumors state that they are dating and this has been ongoing since the pair have been seen together on many occasions. The speculations intensified after the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star was spotted at the hip-hop star’s birthday party. They were seen to be romantically involved with each other by different eyewitnesses. Even Drake once performed at Kyle’s 16th birthday party.

According to the UK news outlet, The Sun, the pair have a relationship but have kept it out of the public eye. The news media gathered information from anonymous sources that Kylie wants something more than a relationship, but Drake is not yet ready to tie the knot.

The Canadian rapper once played down the insinuation he is dating the Kardashian TV show star during an interview by the E! News, telling them, “I’m just a friend. I really like Kylie Jenner a lot, I really like Kendall Jenner. Everybody’s really nice.”

Kyle’s camp has also rushed to dispel the rumors that there is any romantic thing going between the makeup mogul and the iconic rapper. Some sources have even attempted to brush the rumors aside, insisting that the relationship between Kyle and Drake is just friendly.

All this is happening at the back of Kyle’s break up with Travis Scott. Last month, Kylie took to Twitter to post, “Travis and I are on great terms. Our main focus right now is Stormi. Our friendship and our daughter is a priority.” This post is meant to water down the theory that she is into another relationship.

Given that there is no evidence to lend credence to the rumors purported from different quarters that there is something more than just friendship going on between Drake and the makeup mogul, it remains for them to come out clean before we can authoritatively say that they are dating.
